Supercontinuum-multiplexed CARS hyperspectral imaging for label-free discrimination of muscle proteins
Claire Lefort will present recent advances from the MyoSense project, focusing on multiplex CARS (Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering) imaging for probing muscle tissues. By leveraging supercontinuum excitation and hyperspectral analysis, this approach simultaneously captures resonant and non-resonant signals. She will show that the so-called “silent region,” previously considered non-informative, can in fact provide valuable contrast
for distinguishing muscle proteins. These results open new perspectives for the non-invasive diagnosis of muscle diseases, with the long-term goal of developing a fiber-based spectroscopic biopsy as an alternative to conventional surgical procedures.
